Welcome to our evolving sculpture adventure in stunning Central Otago.
Nestled in the northern foothills of the Pisa Range, the Poison Creek Sculpture Project celebrates and supports Aotearoa New Zealand's finest sculptors and rising stars.
Join us during our summer/autumn open days, or by appointment. Book a private tour to learn more about the works on show. We encourage you to roam, discover and enjoy the sculpture in this dramatic landscape. Who knows, you may fall in love and take that special sculpture home! Stay in our elegant secluded accommodation and have free access to the exhibition at any time during daylight hours.
With our artist in residence programme we host invited sculptors and give them the chance to connect with Central Otago's unique natural world, and gain new perspectives and inspiration.

In October 2022 and 2023 we were delighted to host preview shows on site in partnership with the Bannockburn Arts Festival.
In 2019 and 2020 we hosted drystone wall tuition workshops, in which participants learnt by doing in the creation of settings for specific sculptures.
The Sniper's Prayer (Stephen Mulqueen 2015), one of our major works, includes a wall constructed during our 2019 drystone wall tuition workshop. We acknowledge Stephen's whānau for their generous loan of this work for all to enjoy.
Alchemy
OPEN DAYS UNTIL APRIL 30th 2024
In 2020 it was never more necessary to defy circumstances and purposefully create a different reality. We created a group show, Defiance, and opened for discovery in Summer 2021, showing sculpture in the middle of nowhere while a global pandemic raged. You responded with amazing positivity to our impromptu (well, as impromptu as you can be when moving heavy sculpture around) first public open days. In Summer 2022 we shared our personal Antidote to the pandemic, which was to imagine freely and act with purpose from an open heart. It became more evident than ever that Deliberation was required as we emerged in 2023. Now, of course, if we will not follow evidence and learn from experience, we can only rely on Alchemy for the transformation so many hope for.
